Dance Background

I have 10 years of experience as a dancer. I was part of the 'Lotus Youth Dance' initiative run at my local community centre for 3 years (from 2015 to 2018) which gave me a foundation in afro-contemporary, modern dance and experimental movement. I have been involved with movement Workshops run by the National Youth Theatre, Roundhouse and The Almeida working with theatre movement professionals to hone my craft.

Whilst studying I garnered experience as a go-go dancer, performed a solo Contemporary piece at Queen’s arts festival and movement directed the original Theatre piece Melanin Monologues. 

In the last three years I have movement directed 4 theatre pieces, guiding actors to more embodied performances and choreographing ensemble compositions. Working with companies such as Sky and BFI.
